These days chemicals in the Food we eat pose serious threats to our health. The growing use of chemicals such as Pesticides, Fungicides, Fertilizers….etc while cultivation leads in contamination and such food we eat causes a serious problem to our health. Most of the chemical pesticides affect our immune and endocrine systems and make us vulnerable to Diabetes, malfunctioning of the thyroid gland and immune disorders. Hence eating organically grown food should be preferred.
Labels such as “all-natural” “pesticide-free” “residue-free” does not guaranty that such packaged foods contain no additives and must be processed in a clean and chemical-free environment. The best way to make sure you’re buying is to look for “Certified organic”.

Scientists at the Central Tuber Crops Research Institute ,Thiruvananthpuram have developed a bio-pesticide from “Tapioca leaves” that is effective against noxious borer pests like red palm weevil in coconut and pseudo stem weevil in banana.
We can hope that such inventions may lead our world free from chemical Pesticides.
